Tracks of particles in a bubble chamber filled with liquid hydrogen. A charged particle passing through the chamber will create small bubbles in the hydrogen. These bubbles will look like a track along the trajectory of the particle. Today bubble chambers are not used as track detectors; wire chambers and semiconductors have replaced them.
