The diagram shows the relation between d (or d_join) and k. The events in Hands-on-CERN have been analysed by a computer program to determine which particles that belong to which jets. This assignment of particles to jets depends on the parameter d, which considers the momenta and directions of the particles. For a given d you can find the value of k with the help of this diagram.
