Muon Chambers

The muon chambers detect the charged particle that traverse the complete DELPHI detector. Only the muon is able to go through all the material of the complete DELPHI detector. Other particles (with the exception of the neutrino) will interact in all the detector material and the energy will be deposited in the calorimeters.
