• Vertex Detector

    VD consists of three layers of small silicon strips which detect the passage of charged particles. The purpose of VD is to detect the particle positions as close as possible to the collision point. The three layers encircle the colliding beams at radii of 6.3, 9.0 and 10.9 cm. The track position is determined with a precision of 10 um.
