Pool

The cue ball in pool has a smaller mass than the other balls. In Particle Physics collisions the particles often have very different masses. The mass of the incident ball in the animation changes randomly from event to event. The scattering angles θ and φ depend on the mass ratio.

Run the animation many times and try to find a pattern
of behaviour.

You can understand why these results arise by using the equations for the conservation of energy and momentum.
