Research at the
Department
of Physics
at the
University
of Debrecen
focuses on Atomic and Subatomic Physics, Condensed
Matter, Theoretical Physics. Research in these fields is also
pursued at the neighboring
Nuclear Research Institute
of the Hungarian Academy of
Sciences, that has close ties with the department. Solar
observations are done at the
Heliophysical Observatory
of HAS, that is also situated in the
University Campus.
At the
Institute
of Experimental Physics
the research groups develop opto-electronic
devices for particle physics, and
investigate the fundamental structure of matter and forces in
our universe.
Studying physics in Debrecen
