The second part of the "Teilchentour" from Bonn University, aimed at 16-year-old students and the general interested public, focusses on the applications of particle physics, especially in medicin and cosmology. The interactions of particles in matter and the consequences for medical diagnostics and cancer treatment is highlighted as well as the processes in the first seconds of the universe. The text is supplemented by scattered quiz questions and an interactive applet on Hubble's Law. Basic knowledge on elementary particles and the forces between them can be looked up in the first part, "Teilchentour I".
