The Instituto de
Física Corpuscular (IFIC) was founded in the year 1951 and nowadays
is one of the most important high-energy research centers in Spain. There
are several research lines at the IFIC, both experimental and theoretical:
- High-energy physics
- phenomenology: standard model and beyond
- participation in the ATLAS experiment at the LHC
- Hadronic and nuclear physics
- Astroparticle physics
- Noncommutative Geometry
- M-theory
- Nonlinear systems
- Medical physics
Many members of the IFIC teach at the University of Valencia both at
the undergraduate and postgraduate level. Master and Ph.D. courses are
also offered.
